Delayed ejaculation, also known as male
orgasmic disorder or retarded ejaculation, is a condition where a man
is unable to reach climax
during lovemaking or ejaculate easily during intercourse. Sometimes a man can
thrust for ages during intercourse without becoming fully sexually
aroused and reaching the point of ejaculation easily. The great news
is that I have written a self-help treatment program to
overcome problems with delayed
ejaculation. This will enable you to
ejaculate normally during sex - which means when you choose to do so -
within a few weeks of starting the program of treatment.
Erection
problems and sexual problems
They say the course of true love never runs smoothly, and sadly
that's all too true with erection problems, premature
ejaculation and retarded or delayed ejaculation. Young men may find
they just can't contain themselves and ejaculate far too quickly, while other
men may find they are unable to
ejaculate at all! And there can be few things
more distressing than finding your previously stiff penis has suddenly wilted when you try and put the condom on -
or, worse still, when you begin to make love. What's your penis trying to
tell you with all these mischievous acts of sabotage?
Fortunately, there are answers, and we have them.
Relationship Advice We have a great site to recommend for you - with many dating
tips for men. There
is also some great advice for men who want to know more about having a
successful and pleasing sexual relationship
with a woman. You may also wish to explore
the concept of shadow work to
see how that form of therapy can help your relationship. Male andropause and the mid-life crisis - Declining libido and depressionAs we get older we begin to lose our libido and our capacity for instant erections. This is the andropause, caused by a decline in effective testosterone levels in the body. What's more, if a man hasn't achieved everything he hoped for by mid-life he may have the proverbial mid-life crisis. A combination of declining potency and an inability to keep up with the young studs can be a depressing mixture which leads to feelings of worthlessness and despair. Even if it isn't that bad, this time of reflection can still be unhappy - especially if a man finds his erections and libido diminish significantly. It's also quite common to find the size of your penis and testicles diminishes as you get older. Fortunately, it's all curable. We tell you exactly what you can do about the andropause and mid-life crisis. That doesn't necessarily mean buying a Harley Davidson and running off with a woman young enough to be your daughter. The Social Psychology of The PenisWe have a new site which is aimed at explaining some of the social aspects of male sexuality. You can find it here. Hypospadias and Peyronie's diseaseOne boy in every hundred or so is born with a penis different from the "normal". This can be extremely challenging for him throughout his life. Hypospadias involves an incomplete development of the penis, so that the urethral opening is not at the tip of the glans. There are other issues associated with it as well: twisting, incomplete foreskin, bending over at the tip, small size and so on. Peyronie's disease is caused by injury to the penile chambers resulting in a bend or constriction in the flaccid or erect organ. We explain how this happens and direct you to websites which discuss the pros and cons of treatment: for example, surgery can be effective but may reduce your size slightly. The testicles and scrotum Your testicles spend their lives tucked between your legs, perhaps not getting the same attention you lavish on your cock, but they're as fundamental to your masculinity as your penis. Making sperm and testosterone, they are the essence of male fertility and potency. Happily they rarely go wrong, but this page has the information which will guide you through any testicular crises and tell you all you need to know about the testicles. This includes, among other things, issues of size, appearance, testicular health and ejaculation. We think we have the best men's website on the internet And we aim to keep it that way. We welcome your suggestions and comments and we invite you to write for us on any aspect of being a man or male sexuality. We have many stories of personal experiences of being gay, living with hypospadias, and foreskin restoration, for example. So, if you have something to say, let us know! We're probably already the biggest site on the internet dealing with these vital male issues: but we aim to become even bigger and better as time goes by. No matter what size your penis happens to be, it's a truly wonderful organ with the capacity to bestow immense pleasure on you and your partner. Whether that pleasure comes from masturbation, making love or just through the sheer thrill of your masculinity and virility, we men so rarely have the chance to discuss our issues openly and without embarrassment. As a result we often have no idea what is "normal", common, natural, or even possible, for that most glorious of creations - the male body in general and the penis in particular. This website puts that right. And remember it is a wonderful experience to be a man and experience the joys of maleness and masculinity! Penis size erect and flaccidMany people want to know what "normal penile size" means. In a 1996 study, researchers looked at the penises of normal men, by taking a random sample from the general population, to establish what exactly constitutes "normal" penis size. The researchers induced erection in these men by the use of drugs. The results were as follows: average flaccid length was 8.8 cm (3.5 inches) and average erect length 12.9 cm (5.1 inches). Neither a man's age nor the size of his flaccid penis was an accurate indicator of erect length. In fact, the stretched length of the flaccid penis most closely correlated with erect length. Our own results show slightly larger sizes that this - you can see the results of our survey here. The researchers measured both the flaccid and erect penis of each man to the nearest 0.5 cm. They also measured penile circumference, depth of the prepubic fat pad and stretched penile length. These measurements were taken in warm conditions to minimize the effect of temperature shrinkage! The length of the penis was taken from the skin junction between the penis and the pubic area (with the tape pushed into the pubic bone) right along to the urethral meatus. The penile circumference was measured midway along the shaft; the fat pad depth by pushing the tape into the pubic bone. All the men in this investigation had an intracavernous injection of Prostaglandin designed for evaluation of their erectile dysfunction; the measurement of their penises was taken during these investigations. Penile length and circumference were measured when each man's erection was at its maximum. If full erection was not achieved, a mixture of phentolamine, papaverine and Prostaglandin was then added as an injection and the measurements were repeated. As we already stated, average flaccid length was around 8.9 cm and mean erect length was 12.9 cm (rounded to 0.1 cm). The average erectile increase was therefore 4.0 cm. Of course, how much penile length you have available to engage in lovemaking depends on how much fat you have over your pubic bone. The shaft of the penis hidden within this fat is effectively not available for intercourse! In this study, total penile length was the sum of erect length and fat pad depth. The increase in length of the penis on erection had no obvious or clear relationship to flaccid penile length. Moreover, age had no bearing on either flaccid or erect penile length. Only fat pad depth differed significantly with age - being greater in the older subjects. All in all, the results of this study serve to offer an indication of average length and circumference of the soft and erect penis. The issue of size is important because a man's perception of his penis as undersized when either flaccid or erect can lessen his self-confidence and self-esteem. In my experience, anxiety about size has little relationship to the true size and length of a man's penis, and more about low self-confidence and lack of masculinity. Some other points: Many men have the uncomfortable problem of a retractile penis (dealt with elsewhere on this website), and obesity is a major part of this problem. For many men, knowing the effect of fat on the appearance of the penis may alleviate anxiety about penis size. For men thinking of penile augmentation, losing weight or employing suprapubic liposuction may be a simpler and safer alternative to penile enhancement surgery. All in all, average flaccid length was 8.8 cm, stretched length 12.4 cm, and erect length 12.8 cm. The link between flaccid and erect length is not consistent - as we all know from our own experience. Or, if you don't, check out our page on The Facts About Penis Size! Main Pages On This Site
